About me

Tim has 18 years experience at the BBC in News and Current Affairs, and also a freelance series producer and producer/director (PD) for various documentary series and formats for C4, ITV, Discovery and the BBC.  Tim has also been an editor, sound recordist, floor manager, vision mixer, multi-camera studio director, outside broadcast director, 3rd  and 1st assistant director on CBBC’s drama Byker Grove, self shooting PD on docusoaps, factual formats and documentaries, with a variety of cameras, in many challenging countries.  As a series producer he was responsible for creating the editorial and aesthetic formats of series of up to 30 x 30 episodes, managing teams of 30 and responsible for budgets of up to £1.3million. Tim has worked on a wide range of factual series like Bear Grylls: Born Survivor, DIY SOS, Bailiffs, The Village and Wantedand was respected for his ability to work creatively within the pressures of low budgets and tight schedules.  Tim is familiar with managing talent (in front and behind the camera), compliance and complex ethical issues.  Tim is currently completing his PhD on the distribution of low budget features films and lives in Bristol with his family.
